The focus of employing positive behaviour strategies is to create an improved school environment in which teachers can teach and students can learn by minimising the distraction of inappropriate behaviour. This workshop is based on methods which have proven successful in the Carrick-on-Shannon Community School in County Leitrim in Ireland, a second level school of 650 pupils and has approximately 50/50 ratio of boys to girls. The school is a state school and accepts all students who apply to become pupils.

The workshop will focus on the following:

  • Review of the present situation in the school;
  • Where do we want to be in one/two/three years’ time?
  • Gathering data/analysing data;
  • Preparing and implementing a positive behaviour plan;
  • Working with Outside agencies;
  • Review of outcomes and future planning.
Deze workshop wordt in het Engels gehouden.
